Ingredients
Directions
1 (4 pound) whole chicken, cut into small pieces
1 teaspoon minced garlic
2 teaspoon chopped onion
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
3 tablespoon curry powder
1 cup water
2 potatoes, diced
1/2 cup chopped carrot
3 tablespoon vegetable oil
1. Place chicken in a bowl. Sprinkle the garlic, onion, salt, black pepper and curry powder over it. Stir. Cover and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
2. Heat the vegetable oil in a deep pot over medium heat
3. Add 2 tablespoon of curry powder to the hot oil and let burn a little, about 5 minutes
4. Add the chicken pieces to the pot and periodically turn, about 15 minutes
5. Add 1 cup of water, carrot and potato and cover the pot
6. Continue cooking until chicken is tender, about 30 minutes
7. Taste and season with additional salt and pepper if needed
8. Serve chicken with the sauce in the pot as the gravy
