Ingredients
Directions
3 1/2 cups flour (wheat)
1 1/4 tbsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup margarine (melted)
1 tbsp vanilla
1 large egg (beaten)
1 cup Red Label wine
1/4 cup water
1 Dragon Stout (beer)
1/4 cup strawberry jam
1 or 1 1/2 tbsp Grace browning
1/2 cup raisin (soaked 2 hours or more)
1 cup mix peel (soaked 2 hours or more)
1. Mix flour, baking powder, salt, nutmeg and cinnamon, set aside
2. Melt butter in a pot, then add Dragon Stout, Red Label wine and brown sugar (after sugar dissolves remove from heat to cool)
3. Then add egg (beaten) to liquid mixture (mix in well)
4. Add 1/2 of flour mixture to liquid, then raisin and 3/4 cup of mix peel (mix well)
5. Then add Grace browning (mix well)
6. Then add remaining flour (mix well)
7. Then add jam and water
8. Spoon batter in a greased bread pan, 3/4 of the way, and sprinkle remaining mix peel
9. Bake at 350 degrees F for 1 hour or until knife comes out clean
10. Enjoy with slices of cheese
