Ingredients
Directions
1 cup whole wheat flour (or all purpose flour)
1/8 cup cornmeal (optional)
1/3 cup cold water
6 cups water
1/2 teaspoon salt
1. Mix flour, cornmeal and salt together
2. Add cold water and knead into dough
3. Break off pieces and form the dough into slightly flattened biscuits, about 2 inches across
4. Add the water and salt to the pot
5. Bring to a boil and add the dumplings. Cook for 15 minutes or until the dumplings float to the top of the pot
6. Serve warm
